This full-time remote position allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals dealing with critical issues related to domestic violence, providing essential therapeutic support and guidance. You will primarily be responsible for conducting individual and group therapy sessions and providing specialized Play Therapy for children in challenging family environments.

Work Environment\n

This role operates in a flexible work setting that includes remote working opportunities alongside in-office responsibilities. You will interact with clients primarily through virtual platforms but may also attend relevant clinical meetings in person at our Peoria, Illinois facility. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' needs and interests, developing personalized treatment plans based on these diagnostics.

• Provide therapeutic services, including individual counseling and group therapy tailored for teens and adults affected by domestic violence.

• Utilize specialized Play Therapy for children to help them express and process complex emotions related to their life experiences.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all counseling sessions to comply with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

• Engage in ongoing assessment of clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance effectiveness.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision meetings, sharing insights and receiving feedback to continuously improve therapeutic approaches.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering emotional support and practical assistance in times of need.
\n
• Foster community resources and make referrals to additional services that can support clients' comprehensive care needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a counselor, you will focus on providing therapeutic services to a diverse population, primarily targeting women and teenagers who have experienced domestic violence and children living in related circumstances. Your efforts will play a vital role in fostering a safe space for clients to heal from trauma, enabling them to develop coping mechanisms and personal resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.

• An active Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license is essential for this role.
\n
• Proven experience in individual counseling and family interventions.
\n
• Availability to work late afternoon hours (3-8 PM) at least two evenings each week.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are mandatory.
\n

• Prior experience or interest in providing Play Therapy services will be positively regarded.

• Willingness to accommodate weekend availability for therapy sessions is highly preferred.

• Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and situations will enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 105,000 per year, accompanied by a sign-in bonus as an incentive for joining our impactful team. In addition, counselors are eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as malpractice insurance coverage. The caseload will be tailored based on your availability and experience, ensuring a manageable workload that promotes quality care.
