The position operates in a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility between remote and in-office days at our Community Health Clinic in Elgin, IL. Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage with clients through initial assessments and evaluations to identify their unique needs and establish personalized treatment goals.

• Deliver individual therapy and facilitate group therapy sessions designed for both teens and adults, focusing on strategies to help clients cope with the aftermath of domestic violence.

• Provide emotional support during crises, and utilize crisis intervention techniques to guide clients through acute challenges.

• Keep meticulous records of client interactions, treatment progress, and administrative documentation, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols.

• Participate actively in clinical supervision meetings to stay updated on best practices and receive ongoing support from experienced supervisors.

• Offer community referrals and resources to clients, ensuring that they have access to practical support systems aligned with their treatment plans.

• Track and manage assigned counseling cases, maintaining regular communication with clients to foster therapeutic relationships and evaluate their progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on women and teens who have experienced domestic violence, as well as providing specialized Play Therapy for younger children impacted by these traumatic experiences. Our counselors approach each client with empathy, establishing a safe space conducive to healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is mandatory.

• An active Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license is essential for this position.

• Demonstrated ability in individual and family intervention techniques is required.

• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for client visits and outreach activities.
\n
• Availability to work late afternoon hours (3-8 PM) at least two evenings per week is necessary to accommodate client schedules.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience and comfort in delivering Play Therapy services will be highly regarded.

• Preference will also be given to counselors with prior experience in crisis intervention and working with trauma-affected populations.

• Weekend availability is a plus, as flexibility can enhance client accessibility and care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 105,000 depending on experience and qualifications, supplemented by a potential bonus structure.
