Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs.KBR is looking for a Principal Process Engineer to help support large capital projects.Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of process engineering. The candidate should be able to work as part of a team or show leadership capabilities managing areas or systems within projects. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Leading a team of process engineers to work with process licensors and to advance a licensor basic engineering package to FEED qualityExperience executing a licensor package for downstream steam cracker derivatives aromatics units.Experience creating process simulations and Heat and Material Balances.PFD developmentWorking and coordinating with high value engineering centersFamiliarity with and able to execute or lead a team of process engineers forP&ID developmentHydraulics calculationsProcess vessel sizingOverpressure analysis and relief calculations including flare load estimation and flare header sizingProduction of process design basis documents and various narrativesManaging workgroup schedules, budgets and progressRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering Required, master’s degree in chemical engineering preferredMinimum of eight (8) years’ experience and an average of 10 to 20 experienceKnowledge of Aspen software suites.KBR BenefitsKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
